Welcome to the official media hub for Byron Waller, Teen Pilot Down Under.
Byron Waller is a 15-year-old pilot from Queensland, Australia, who made history as the youngest person to fly around Australia in 2024. Diagnosed with Crohn’s disease earlier in 2024 after years of unexplained illness, Byron turned his health battle into a mission of hope and resilience, inspiration for others.
Now, he’s preparing to become the youngest pilot to circumnavigate the globe under instructor supervision — flying around the world to raise awareness for children living with chronic illness and to support the life-saving work of Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF).
